Mixxit is in development for macOS and Windows. Public downloads are not open yet, but you can explore the approach here.

Our goal is a clear path from your music collection to a finished recorded mix. We want the time you spend in Mixxit to be about the music: finding the next track, hearing an overlap and making a small adjustment that brings it together.

See the order of your tracks and the space where they overlap. Move a clip, listen from a little earlier and hear how the handover changes. The arrangement gives you a visible place to work on your idea.
The tools for the transition in front of you
We are focusing the workflow on arranging tracks, adjusting timing and shaping volume, EQ and effects. Keeping those decisions central is a deliberate design choice. We want it to be easy to stay with the mix you came to make.
Progress at your own pace
Spend ten minutes on one transition, save your project and come back with fresh ears. You can try a patient blend, shorten the overlap or give a favourite phrase more room. The result takes shape through your choices.

Mixxit vs DJ.Studio: which approach fits your mix?
DJ.Studio offers timeline editing alongside a broader set of production and integration options. It also offers manual transition editing; hands-on control is not exclusive to Mixxit. Our emphasis is the focused experience we are designing around the everyday task of making a recorded mix.

Choose the scope that suits you
If stems, video creation or connections to an existing DJ library are central to your work, DJ.Studio’s published options are worth exploring. Check the plan that includes the tools you need.
If your priority is to bring in your tracks and spend time on the mix itself, Mixxit is being built with that focus. Simplicity is our design goal: a clear timeline, purposeful controls and room to listen. You will be able to judge how that feels when the public version is ready.

Start with two tracks you want to hear together. Arrange their overlap, choose when to adjust tempo and refine the timing. Use volume and EQ to give each track space, then listen through the transition in context.
That small loop is the heart of Mixxit. Save the editable project so you can return to it, and export a WAV or MP3 when the mix feels ready. Keep your original audio files available for future edits.

Is Mixxit designed to be simpler?
Yes. We are deliberately keeping the experience centred on a clear timeline and the decisions involved in making a mix. Our aim is to help you spend your time choosing music, trying a handover and hearing it come together.
Does DJ.Studio also let you edit manually?
Yes. Its published plans include manual transition editing in Pro and higher tiers. Compare the workflow you enjoy and the features you need, as well as the feature list.
Will Mixxit choose my tracks or make transitions automatically?
You choose the tracks and shape the handover. Analysis provides useful starting points; you decide when to apply tempo adjustment and how the overlap should sound. We want those creative decisions to be an enjoyable part of making your mix.
Can I try Mixxit on Mac or Windows now?
Mixxit is coming soon for both platforms. Download details and confirmed system requirements will appear on the availability page when the releases are ready.
