Getting started
What is Mixxit for?
Mixxit is an app for macOS and Windows for building recorded DJ mixes at your own pace. Arrange tracks on a timeline, listen, shape the transitions and export the result. Save your work and come back whenever you like. You don’t have to perform the whole mix in one take.
Does Mixxit choose tracks or mix for me?
No. You choose the music, the order and how each transition sounds. Mixxit shows tempo and key information and lets you match a selected clip to a target tempo. It does not suggest the next track or make creative mixing decisions for you.
Which Macs can run Mixxit?
The current Mac version is built for Apple silicon Macs running macOS 13 or later. An Intel Mac version is not currently available.
When can I download Mixxit?
Mixxit is in development for macOS and Windows. Public downloads are not open yet. We’ll share download details when the apps are ready; no release date has been announced.
Planned trial, Preview Mode & buying
Do I need a credit card for the trial?
When public trials open, no payment or credit card will be required. Verify your email in the app, then start your 14-day trial when you’re ready. Signing in or visiting the website does not start the trial.
What can I do during the trial?
The trial gives you full access to import and analyse tracks, create and edit mixes, save projects and export WAV or MP3 audio. You have 14 days from the moment you start it.
What happens when my trial ends?
Mixxit switches to Preview Mode. Your projects and original audio stay on your computer. You can open existing projects and listen in 30-second previews. Creating, importing, editing, saving and exporting require a licence after the trial.
Does the trial turn into a subscription?
No. There is no automatic charge and no subscription to cancel. You decide whether to buy Mixxit.
What do I get when I buy Mixxit?
A one-time purchase unlocks the full app, with software updates included. There is no subscription. Pricing will be announced before purchases open.
Will signing in again restart my trial?
No. Your trial is linked to your account and keeps its original end date when you sign in again.

Which platforms is Mixxit for?
Mixxit is being prepared for macOS and Windows. Public downloads are not open yet.
Where do I find system requirements?
Confirmed requirements will be listed alongside each public download when the apps are ready.
Your music & workflow
Do I need to upload my music?
You work with audio files from your own collection. Your projects refer to those files, so keep them available when you return to a mix.
Which audio files can I use?
Import MP3, M4A, WAV, AIFF, AAC and FLAC files from your collection. Export the finished mix as WAV or MP3.
Is saving a project the same as exporting a mix?
No. Saving keeps your editable Mixxit project. Exporting creates an audio file to listen to or share. Project files refer to the original tracks on your computer, so keep those files available.
Does Match Tempo automatically align the beats?
No. Match Tempo changes the speed of the selected clip toward your chosen BPM, within a ±8% range. It changes pitch along with speed. You still position the clip and listen to the transition to align the beats.
